In 2000, Raffles Hotels & Resorts launched Amrita Spas in six locations with the flagship located in Raffles City , occupying 50,000 square feet on three levels. The Amrita concept was expanded into Amrita Wellness and Amrita Fitness and the first Amrita Wellness was launched in October 2000 at Raffles Le Montreux Palace.

Amrita Wellness offers a new approach of combining fitness, relaxation, treatments and nutrition in a relaxed environment, while Amrita Fitness focuses mainly on exercise programmes which integrate the latest in fitness facilities and technology.

In June 2004, Amrita Spas located in all Raffles hotels and resorts were renamed RafflesAmrita Spa. Sharing the same sublime detail of the Raffles name ensures that guests at RafflesAmrita Spas are offered only the highest standards of service and hospitality.
